About Time - A Photo !!!!

This Photo was taken yesterday tuesday 24/2/2009 in Spiddal ,Conamara,Co.Galway,Ireland.

also there is an Irish Flag and the white buildings are
the Spiddal Craft Center.In my hand are 3 Whistles.
The Two colured green are the Two I play most Often - a 'C' and a 'D'
The photo was taken outside off and in front of the recording studio
where i am attending the course in Music.

As for 'moi' ????

Yeah I acknowlege that it is not the most flattering of photographs !

- Yet when you consider that i am over half a centuary'on the go'
- It is an Achievement getting this Far !!!!

- and even though I will be 52 in May this year !!!!
- on the inside I feel like I am in my early 20's

'Tis said that the camera tells the Truth !!!!
yet all the camera portray's is an exterior viewpoint
and because Human Beings are so complex and constantly changing
No one photo tells it all !! - a photo is Only a Moment in Time


As for Today ????
- a few moments i was Outside and the Weather
is Bright and Sunny and there is a Lovely Golden Light !!!!

- as for the 'Comical-Advice' that
I mentioned in the previous posting ?
-apparently it is working and is Sucessful
because scince I have started silently saying:
'Peace be with You - Peace be with You' !!!!

- It has Become Very Pleasant and Peacefull !!!!
- and a Lot of Warm Positive Friendly Feeling has been Released !!!!

Comical Advice maybe? hope it works !!!!

Over the weekend as i endeavored to recover from the lunacy and stress of last week
- i came across a book with some potentially usefull advice for when one is troubled by vexacious and aggravating persons? - The advice is to silently say over and over again : "Peace Be with You" - Theoreticaly it is supposed to be effective !!!!

- Oh I dearly hope that it works !!!!

Anything else ????
Yeah - Met a friendly donkey out where i live in Conamara
Really Cheered me up !!!! - Meeting the friendly donkey
and going for walks and singing as i walked put me in Good Form !!!!

It sure helps the ability to laugh at it all !!!!

In Total Contrast - !!

Today was Crazy - Serious 'Nuts'-in terms of Stress!!
It is completely 'Bonkers' at the moment on the Music Course
Theoreticaly we are supposed to be Rehearsing for a Concert
Yet It Appears to be an excuse for all sorts of Lunacy !!

It is Extremely Stressfull the Discordant Cacophoney of Noise
The Maddness and Mayhem is Alienating


- Oh I Yearn for Blessed Peace and Quiet !!!!

and If I could Do as I Wish on this Music Course ????

- I Would Focus on Developing the Music that I have !!!!

- I Would also have regular Access to the Piano or Keyboards !!!!

- I require a Peacefull Enviroment to Function !!!!


- By Nature I am a Quiet Peacefull Person !!!!

Feeling Peacefull !!!!

A short while ago I was gently playing
the new portable digital grand piano
It is a very peacefull feeling trying
out various Airs or Tunes on the keyboards

Earliar I walked to the sea-shore
and scrambled about the slippery rocks
and slippery slopes of a large almost
mountain-top style rock formation that
usually is a small island in the sea when
the tide is in - It really woke me up as
I scrambled about - I really had to be alert!

The Weather over the past few days is constantly changing
We have had Snow,Frost,Bright Sunny days,Occasional Rain
and this morning heavey Fog/Mist along the shore of Galway Bay
In Gaeilge the Irish Language 'Ceo' is the Word We use for Mist/Fog
Ceo better describes what I experianced travelling out this morning!

It is Often that I feel Positive and Happy at the begining of a New Day
and this morning I Sang as I walked in the envigorating Fresh Air !!!!

- and even earliar on as I walked out this morning
I was pleased to see the new flowers emerging
from out of the Earth - It is Magical Wonderful and Natural !!!!

Ceol as an Alban// Music from Scotland

Today We had a lecture about Music from Scotland
It was specificaly about Music from the Scotish 'Gallic'
speaking area of the Hebrides and Western Isles

We had two lecturers:- a young Scotish Singer
who spoke[and Sang] to Us in Scots 'Gallic'
- also a young Irish Woman who as well as
being a very accomplished Séan-Nós Singer
is also an excellant Muscition on the Harp !!!!


Ireland and Scotland have the same Gaelic Language
Yet Between the Two there are many differences in
the Pronunciation and Spelling of the Language
Today's lecture was given in both Irish and Scotish Gaelic

There is a Quality to the Music of Scotland !!!!
The Rythyms and Melodies of the Music
in Scotish Gaelic are Unique and Worth a Listen !!!!
