An Ceol (= The Music)

There are some Utterly Gorgeous
Airs and Melodies that have 'Come'
to me recently and if I can ????
- I will get them up on the Internet !!!!

- I have them recorded on the dictaphones
[-i have two dictaphones:-
one is a micro cassette one, the other is a normal
audio cassette one - i am on the look-out for an
Mp3 digital dictaphone which will faciletate
uploading music samples onto a computer - old-style
audio tapes are difficult to come bye and than there
is the hassle of transfering from analogue to digital!]

On the Music Course We have are just starting to Learn how
to use MIDI technology to Play and Compose Music on Computer
Everyone of Us has a Piano style keyboard attached to the Computer
and It is possible to play 'virtual'instruements[for example last week
I was playing a 'virtual Choir'a'virtual Sitar'a 'virtual Saxaphone'
and of course a 'virtual Piano']- afterwards though comparing the
virtual Piano and the actual real life Grand Piano
- I Prefare the Real Piano !!!!

One advantage with the MIDI technology
[in our crowded computer room!]is that:- once i put on the
earphones:- i can screen out the surrounding noisey distractions
- also nobody can hear what i am up too - which Frees me from
inhibiting self-consciousness[- much and all as i love the
grand piano !!!! - my standard of piano playing is so simple
and basic[-i am self taught]that i get embarrassed,self conscious
and inhibited when others are in ear-shot.]

As for my usual musical instruements ????
- I have 10 various Tin-Whistles each with their
own unique quality - also I have a pair of
Cuban rhythmn sticks [- a birthday prescent from
an Irish Woman Friend who had traveled to Cuba ]
- Do I know how to play the rhythmn sticks ????
- No!! - yet I do have Fun Trying !!!! - It is Comical !!!!

As for the Tin Whistles ????
- the oldest are two Irish made 'Feadogs'
they [a "D" and a "C"]are the two I Play most often !!!!
-they have a Lovely Soft Sound !!!! - because of their Age !!!!

Recently I gave myself a present of an English made Classic:
a Clarke's old style 'Penny-Whistle'[it is the Origional of
All Tin-Whistles]and It Too has a Lovely Soft Gentle Sound !!!!
and It also Very Beautifull to Look At !!!!
- I Only take It Out for Special Occasions
- It has a Unique Visual and Aural Quality !!!!
